Mark J. Zimmermann is the Chairman of the Firm’s Environmental Practice Group. He joined the Firm in 1981 and represents the Firm’s environmental clients in a wide variety of environmental matters at the federal, state and local levels. His practice includes experience in the areas of environmental permitting, compliance, litigation and enforcement matters. He has extensive experience in transactional matters relating to the Connecticut Transfer Act, real estate transactions, environmental site assessments and cleanups, and the development of contaminated properties. Mr. Zimmermann is a frequent author and speaker on environmental issues and has participated as a member of the faculty at numerous environmental seminars sponsored by various trade and environmental organizations.
Mr. Zimmermann is a member of various professional and community organizations, including the Connecticut Business and Industry Association’s Environmental Policies Council, the Connecticut Environmental Forum, the Connecticut Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section and the American Arbitration Association’s Environmental Advisory Committee.
