Suzanne Gilleese is Counsel to the Firm, practicing in the areas of commercial litigation and construction.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gilleese was an associate and of counsel at Berman and Sable LLC, in Hartford, Connecticut where she handled commercial litigation, foreclosures, legal malpractice matters, and bankruptcy and appellate matters. She has represented subcontractors in contract disputes, banks and borrowers in foreclosures and represented debtors and secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy cases. Attorney Gilleese was also an adjunct instructor teaching appellate advocacy in moot court class for first year law students at the University of Connecticut School of Law. She also served on town charter commissions.

Attorney Gilleese is also a State of Connecticut Judicial Branch magistrate who presides over small claims matters and motor vehicle infractions.

Attorney Gilleese is admitted to practice in the states of Connecticut and New York, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Ms. Gilleese is a member of the Hartford County Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association. She received her J.D. from the Syracuse University College of Law, where she was awarded the Journal of International Law and Commerce Gavel Award and the CALI Academic Award for Excellence in Constitutional Law. Ms. Gilleese also received an MA Honors degree from the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom.
