Attorney Matthew Warden attended the Lawyer’s Collaborative for Diversity Event

On October 16, 2024, Attorney Matthew Warden attended the Lawyer’s Collaborative for Diversity event, hosted by Shipman and Goodwin. The purpose of the event was to pair current University of Connecticut Law School students (the mentees) with practicing attorneys (the mentors). The mentor/mentee relationships are designed to facilitate lasting relationships between current attorneys and future ones, providing the mentees with invaluable support in navigating the complexities of law school and promoting diversity within the legal community. The event was well attended and appreciated. On November 2, 2024, Attorney Warden attended the Quinnipiac School of Law Mock Trial Competition. Attorney Warden served as one of the judging panelists for the competition and offered insights and tips to competing students. The event is designed to simulate the trial experience and offers students an opportunity to compete before Connecticut judges and practicing litigation attorneys in a court room environment (this event was held at the New Haven Superior Court). Attorney Warden’s involvement with the mentorship and training of law school students exemplifies both his and UKS’ commitment to the future of the legal profession in Connecticut.
