Christopher Brigham | 2019 TABS Annual Conference
Christopher L. Brigham will be a featured speaker again at The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) annual conference in Boston, MA on December 6, 2019. Chris will be teaming up with Dr. Meera Viswanathan, Head of School at the Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, CT, and conducting a presentation entitled. “I didn’t Know That!” Chris, experienced school law counsel and Meera, a seasoned school administrator, will address and inform the participants about a variety of day to day conundrums and legal issues that school administrators and school counsel may face together Here’s a sneak peek at the description for the program:
How do you remove a bear which has taken up residence on campus? Who has the right to view confidential student recommendations? Does your school allow minors to rideshare? How are you accommodating transgender athletes on the playing field? What do we do about social media and FOMO? The adage, “same problem, different day,” does not always apply to the life of an administrator at a residential boarding school. Heads of School and the administrative team have a complex body of constituents including students, parents, trustees, faculty and staff...all of whom have differing needs and priorities and all of whom deserve a school administrator’s time, energy and thoughtfulness on a daily basis. Join this session to explore through various scenarios, some best alternatives.
Attorney Brigham offers a variety of training programs and seminars for schools and companies and can be reached at cbrigham@uks.com if you are interested in exploring a speaking engagement.
