UKS Associates honored by the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence

On November 15, 2019, UKS associates Valerie M. Ferdon and Gideon Asemnor were honored by the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence for their pro bono representation of abused women seeking restraining orders against their abusers. The firm has assisted many women since the inception of its Domestic Violence Restraining Order (“DVRO”) Program in December 2015.  UKS shareholder Richard S. Order chairs the firm’s pro bono committee and developed and oversees the DVRO Program. 

Attorney Ferdon concentrates her practice on civil litigation and administrative proceedings in a wide range of matters including employment, professional liability and insurance defense. 

Attorney Asemnor is an associate in the Firm’s Hartford office, where he practices in the areas of professional liability, insurance coverage and defense litigation, construction law, administrative proceedings, and commercial litigation.
