Chelsea Castiglioni is an associate in the firm’s New Haven office. Ms. Castiglioni focuses her practice on civil litigation and administrative proceedings in a wide range of matters including employment, healthcare, professional liability and insurance defense. She also handles regulatory employment and healthcare matters for various organizations and providers.
Ms. Castiglioni practices in the defense of employment law issues and has assisted with the representation of clients before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, the Department of Labor and the Workers’ Compensation Commission. Ms. Castiglioni counsels clients about issues facing employers during all stages of the employment relationship including but not limited to the hiring, disciplinary and termination process.
Ms. Castiglioni also represents healthcare providers including hospitals, ambulatory surgical facilities and physician practices in regulatory matters before the Office of Health Care Access, the Department of Public Health and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. She has assisted with numerous Certificate of Need filings and matters involving initial licensure and facility changes of ownership.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Castiglioni was an associate at Gwin Steinmetz & Baird, where she practiced in the areas of long term care defense, healthcare defense, insurance defense and trucking litigation.
Ms. Castiglioni is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the New Haven County Bar Association. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in Louisville, Kentucky, and her B.A. in political science from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.
Ms. Castiglioni is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Kentucky. Ms. Castiglioni was recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Connecticut, 2013-2016.
