Dana R. Bucin is an associate in the firm’s Hartford office and she focuses her practice in the areas of commercial finance, corporate law, international business transactions, and immigration.
 
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Bucin was employed as an associate at Brown & Welsh, P.C. where she represented creditors in commercial collections matters, drafted and argued motions in commercial litigation, and represented landlords in landlord-tenant cases.  Ms. Bucin also served as a summer law clerk for an immigration law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina and the Greater Boston Legal Services, Immigration Unit, in Boston, Massachusetts.  She worked as an Intern for Local Development at an international port facility in Venezuela and as an Export Assistant for a Romanian manufacturer and exporter of garden furniture.
 
Ms. Bucin is fluent in Spanish, French, and Romanian.  She is the Chair of the Young Professionals Committee of the World Affairs Council of CT.  Ms. Bucin is a member the American Immigration Lawyers Association and serves on the Entrepreneurs Task Force of Hartford Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs (HYPE).  For her leadership within the Greater Hartford community, Ms. Bucin has been honored as a "40 Under Forty" award recipient by the Hartford Business Journal in 2009.
 
Ms. Bucin is admitted to the bar in the State of Connecticut, the State of New York and the District of Columbia. She received her J.D. from Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts and B.A., summa cum laude, from Ohio Wesleyan University.
