The firm has served as bond counsel to cities, towns and special services districts issuing its bond counsel opinions regarding validity and tax-exemption in numerous financing transactions. It has served as bond counsel to a number of large municipal issuers in Connecticut, including the cities of Hartford, Bridgeport and New Britain, as well as many smaller municipalities and special services districts. While our extensive practice as bond, borrower's, underwriter's, trustee's and letter-of-credit bank counsel in tax-exempt and taxable financings is concentrated in Connecticut, we have also served major clients in states other than Connecticut.

The firm has experience in all facets of tax-exempt financing transactions. We have served as bond counsel to the State of Connecticut for approximately thirty years and have represented issuers, underwriters, trustees and borrowers in numerous revenue bond transactions involving the major state authorities, such as the Connecticut Development Authority (“CDA”), the Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority, the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, the Connecticut Housing Authority and the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority. The firm also serves as bond counsel to CDA.
